Well,
I did it...picked the van up on Friday..got the keys to Kings Court and then went to dad's on Friday. I must have been tired cos I slept for 10 hours...never bothered to stay up and watch the footie..looked rubbish anyway.
The van was massive and I really thought it was too big for the jobin hand....how wrong I was...I ended up moving all the kit by myself...down 3 flights of stairs as well...hungover (yes, my fault!!) at 7.30 am on Sunday..neighbours must have hated me but I know they never came out in case I asked for their help...but then...I never wanted to speak to them either!!! I had to move a batch of stuff down the stairs..run to the van...move the van to the front of the building...load the van..move it away from the building..back up to the flat for another load..phew...at least 20 trips I tell thee...I was knackered.
Then a drive back to Gourdon...after a rest...I decided to unload at Lochinch..meant I could return this am and get some money back on the rental..and now I am really feeling it...feels like flu but I am sure it is the fact all my muscles are weak and shaky..ime exhausted!!...back to work tomorrow as well..woohoo...time is moving on and deadlines approach....so I better get on with it.
So, that was the last time I will ever be in the flat...I decided to leave as I was beginning to remember my time there with rose tinted glasses....it is like a pig on a farm...it was a business investment and it is serving a purpose..done and dusted. Although...walking around Perth....I see so many flats for sale...the fact this one sold in such a dire market and a market flooded with properties...makes it clear how good a decision it was to buy it...my judgement was tip top.
So...that is done...next...Edinburgh...at the end of July...I think I will try and find some casual labour to move my stuff down the 3 flights of stairs...at least whatever I will be carrying will be broken into pieces.
After that...something will turn up.

So much for a rest!!!
Well,
There was I ready to relax and recuperate after the Forest Schools...after this weeks training course and essay study..oh..and the Highland Games which will require up at 6 am on Sunday am and back by bloody 8 pm!!!
When...I knew I needed to go down to Perth to remove any furniture prior to the exchange date...TOIL booked for Friday and Monday..time away form projects...time away from work...next week...THEN I get word that my tenants in Edinburgh are leaving and had i remembered the agreement that I would upgrade the bath room and kitchen once they decided to go...aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...this means, having coughed up £100 to re foam and re seal the bath which had been leaking..I am going to have to rip the fecker out!!!!
So, I will have to book another van (this time from Edinburgh, so not too bad)...get down there by megabus..rip stuff out...leaving the bog to the last!!!....take it to the dump..and get back up the road..another long weekend to book and loose time from the job...but then the rent can be increased and I shouldn't have to do anything to it for a while.
Now, I had hoped to chill out and then think of doing some security work at festivals...music...free passes and a fair amount of work...but I have to rethink on that one...I really need some time to chill...even if the money would come in handy.
Oh....and i still have to do some essays..which was supposed to be the next few days BUT my exhaust is really starting to go.....so that needs to go into the garage..and soon...which means less essays will be done..poo....I want that bloody sorted!!!!
Now, there has been no interest in anyone taking this flat on so I think I am here until September..which may not be such a bad thing considering the above..and I can take the financial hit...I hope there will be enough money left to pay the Capital Gains tax next year AND keep a buffer for the other properties..should be...and at least all this work means I cannae be taxed on negative profit!!
Anyhoo..sure it will all be sorted!!

Forest School Mungous
Well,
I am definitely taking it easy this weekend. At the start of this week Simon (colleague) said..."one think I've learned from last weeks Forest School is that it would be best not to do 2 back to back"...and...as it turned out...he was correct!! It is all a learning process...and we have learned..in terms of physical exertions and ability to keep going with the whole delivery of FS...one 5 day period is draining...2 weeks is VERY draining. So, today I am resting totally..and maybe part of tomorrow as well.
I have a training course..Tuesday and Wednesday..on Effective presentations...TOIL on Monday/Thursday/Friday..so no actual work work BUT lots to do. Monday...pre record show for SHMU...drop in at St Fitticks..then off to office to tidy stuff up after we messed it up with mucky kit!!! Looks like ile have to go down to Perth on the Thursday for a few days to get rid of some furniture...and all the time the FS essays await!!!..might not be until next week afore i get to them.
So, to Property. Well...things have changed a great deal. I was in the middle of the woods last week...trying to ensure the kids didn't cut their hands off or such like...got a call from Perth regarding the sale of the flat...she was chatting bout how we had 2 offers in the whole month..one was dismissed out of hand..cheeky beggars were counting on the down turned market to get a low price...but the other came in at the asking price..we had put o/o 79K...they came in at that...we suggested 80k and they agreed..the funny thing was...it took a few minutes of chat by me and patience by the selling agent before the penny dropped...."oh, you're asking me if i accept?"...doh!!!...so I did...it was subject to survey...and this has gone ahead with no probs..so we move to the next stage.
The important thing here is that the sale will proceed...I will be able to pay off overdraft...provide a buffer for properties AND mibbe buy something for myself!!!...woohoo!! So, financial ruination has been avoided. In addition, I have been looking at rooms to rent but will not be able to move if a replacement tenant is not found..which looks like not happening...but I can now afford it once the money has come through...this settles better with me as I do not like putting folks in a tricky position...so I can fulfill my commitment to the landlady and take the time to move out..but then...this might change again if someone is interested in the flat!!!
I never thought about the fact the purchaser purchases the flat with fixtures NOT furniture...this illustrates why the whole situation arose...focused on this job not the property stuff....so I now have to figure out dates to get to Perth and take the stuff out....boo!!!..but then I will be able to see some old colleagues and ask them if they have some spare time to remove some kit...then down to dad's i think to drop some stuff off as well...he has been asked and agreed...which is great...bless him.
So, will take a while for things to settle down again I guess...but it will...relatively anyway...phew...still got plenty going on in terms of work....and moving from here if it goes ahead...so will be busy but happy with it.
With 3 properties...the money from the sale...the reduction in outgoings...I will be able to concentrate on presenting data to support the extension of my contract...which I had a meeting about in Hazelhead woods yesterday during lunch..with Deity Dan!! So we shall see how that goes.
Well, all is well I guess and the show rolls on!!
