Doh!!!
Almost forgot...tomorrow is the release of Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp!!!! Have to wait until next weekend..boooooooooooooooooo.
Peace and Quiet
Hey...it's quiet...almost too quiet...had the missus and her dug up here again...I am going to Perth next week by megabus (God help me!!!) for a few days....just figured out she had been here since Thursday night and left Saturday morning....3 nights!!!!!...a world record by jimminy. Ups and downs as always but a definite thinking from both of us to talk about things...which is refreshing. The dog left plenty of hair...dried slobber on the carpet....but that is all hoovered up and the place aired.
Been into work to clear down some e mails and send stuff...after fueling the car and buying food....back here and chilling out...fillum on later with Jamie Fox and Tom Cruise....gonna watch that and then......as usual...a majorly busy week ahead....stacked stuff up to the point where there is little room for error or traffic delays...but..if it works out...will be good.
I was quite nervous about 3 events this week....could have gone both ways to be honest..XL group 2 took over my radio show on Wednesday....didn't know whether they would behave or go off on one...in the end they did exceptionally well...really came up with some good stuff...funny to see them panicking just before air time....ha ha ya wee bas!!!
The we had the 1st session of the John Muir Award (this being the 1st JMA I have run!!) with the Criminal Justice System...wanted to make sure they got what they wanted from it...started badly with the guy i charge going to the wrong place...in the end I went back to the unit and then came back...it appears I had missed them by minutes and they had, in fact, gone all the way to Lochinch!!!..my HQ...anyhoo...it went well and i had a feedback session with the unit worker on Friday....a lot has come from that session..apparently there has been a lot of chat about the session between the residents AND they have filled in their booklets.....hussah!!!!
XL group 1 were out on Woodside for their last session (they haven't been to SHMU yet)..usual jiggery pokery with a lot of shouting to keep them all safe and engaged...but it went well and they were pretty good....mixed in a few team activities with chat about nature and stuff...although got a fright when a tree I had not known about had fallen across the path...had to take control very quickly with the guys as there was a definite safety issue...I think they got a fright but at least I saved them from injury.
Bloomin knackered I tell thee but all to the good. Hitting the south tomorrow and Tuesday then all over the place...JMA...SHMU....meetings for planning as well....it is almost March..12 months until my contract ends...poo!!!
We went on a nice walk between Gourdon and Inverbervie on the coast...one to remember that....1 mile only...pretty good...although the wind made it quite tough coming back. Having a dog is an amazing thing....people love it...Irish Setters love to get affection and attention....and everyone loved to pet him. We went to the local pub and folk ended up chatting to me as well....they would never have done that without jasper being there...saw the landlord...he had been in hospital having something done to his hip....nice chat with him even though the dug was sniffing his crotch all the time.....I still find that difficult to get used to.
Finances are tight and I really hope we can do some financial wizardry with the mortgages in March (2 weeks away) otherwise I am in the doo doo......really want to get things sorted to have buffer funds for each property...we shall see...a trip in the old car has to be done to get the money so I shall have to hope all keeps together for the trip....stop off in Perth (maybe) and at dad's...apart from that who knows....an early start on the Saturday to get to Edinburgh for 10..but no toll fees anymore though....yay!!!

Valentines Day
Hey..the sun is shining..a new week tomorrow...another small Forest School study session...going to stay here on Tuesday and nail 2 essays if I can...which I will!!!
I have had the best Valentines day of my life if I may say so...a lass I had been chatting to came up here and she, with her Irish Setter, stayed Thursday and4 Friday..all very relaxed and all very good...nice walks...nice lunch...found loch near Banchory which had a hostel next to it...it was deserted due to being off season..it was magical with the clear blue sky, the flat water, no one was about....lovely. we shall see how it all goes..we seem to be fairly level headed about it..which is a new experience for me!!!!Spent yesterday in the boozer as well...as I do not really have any money I have adopted the attitude of "what the hell".....and decided to spend some anyway...don't worry...I am not goingto put myself in debt.....although the car has seen to that already..I need to survive through to March when we do the financial jiggery pokery and raise some "bufer" funds and get rid of this current car...piece of poo!!!!
I spent another few hours planning work this morning...I know this harkens back to pensions days..working all those extra hours...but...I have so many e mails coming in now for different projects and such...that I need to sit down with no distractions and look at my diary to sort thing out...I also have to make diary entries in triplicate...my spreadsheet diary..the main works diary and my onw diary...phew...but it means I make myself aware of what is going on (and check my team mates entries) with me for the next few months...then the next week....gives me confidence that there is nothing going to surprise me...well...that's the theory anyway.
I have my first John Muir Award coming up on Kincrth Hill...worried...no...not the right word...concerned....I don't hit all the points they want from the project..parp!!!...just being me I guess...I hope it goes well for all concerned...popping in tomorrow evening..to see how many we have..hopefully not less than the 4 we had on the books the last time..it all dependson who has been convicted of a crime to be honest..strange concept that.
I also have a number of wild life gardens up and coming..which is strange as I have never made one before....hmmmmmmmmm...not quite sure how I got into that one..but it will be a learning curve and a challenge..exciting really.
Work has now seeped into Tillydrone and Cove and Mastrick...woohoo..all go and very frenetic. I delivered a lecture...or should I see...session on my job and how it involves communty groups...to students at Aberdeen College....hell's teeth..some of them were like the kids at these exlcuded/self excluded groups..sitting there with chewing gum...checking teir nails....feking atttude...it was strange..both the lecturer and myself were surprised...anyhoo...I will be taking this group out on an NHS Health Walk route...plus deliver anoter lecture to another HNC class...hussah!!!
With regards to my job nd it permenancy..or lack....there are so manyt permutations on funding source...job content....there is no point in covering them...the main thing s that there are many folks making moves in the back ground with me in mind..not saying jobs are being created for me..but I am being discussed in the same discussion session...capche?..nothing is guaranteed in this situation.
The flat still hasn't change apart from insulation...I have given up on anything happening..if the other works have not been done by July I will hand my notice in and leave in October....there is no way I am going to be this cold again...very disappointed in Lan Ladys attitude and lack of proffessionalism. Nuff said.
Rage Against The Machine have reformed and are playing all the estivals this year....they are going to headline T In The Park....they last played when I went to see them in 1994 with Louise at Strathclyde Park....tickets were sold out within 40 minutes on Friday for all 3 days.....nae chance...the only way I am going to see them/hear them is if I end up doing security work...but they haven't gotten back to me so I cannae see that happeing ...ah well...let the young unsget their chance.

Time Flies
Aha!!!
I have a real excuse for not being on her in such a while...I have been mundo busy...I really have!!! Forest School...Xel and Youth Achievement Award are all kicking off....as is work with schools to the south for the 1st time (for me)...schools to the north..breakfast clubs...NHS Health Walk recce's/planning and homework...phew...I am needing my weekends I tell thee.
I really have to sit down at the weekend and plan ahead or the whole week just passess by...I really have to be on top of the game so I can drive through the projects as opposed to be the passanger. One of the groups in Tillydrone I am working with involves working with my ex's colleague...ho ho...first time I have worked with him outside of the project and I think he and the teacher were taken aback by my force of presence...my ability to drag (and i do mean drag) what the kids already know but never feel they can say...on these projects...well...I hope we can get on...this fella is good at hi job BUT hides his lack of confidence with arogance and promises...need to keep on top of that as well..I always thought the difficulty of working with these groups was working with these groups but, in fact, it is the infrastructure around the group that seems to be causing the most problems...hey ho. So, how did I feel when the ex drove up and dropped him off...hhhmmmm...still not too good but not really bothered...the thing that really annoys me is the thought (my opinion) that work has dried up in Seaton proper due to our break up....the community of Seaton are losing out due to that and I never thought that would be allowed by the ex or her team...they are letting their clients down. HOWEVER...with this work in the school and soon to be BIG project in Tillydrone (community workers are included in the same area) word will get round that Seaton proper is not taking me up on the work...we shall see then!!
I am driving through equipment purchasing and organising for Forest Schools......total support from the manager...Simon helping me out in sourcing branches and trunks of trees on our site for shelter building..all I need to do is contact the wood chipping team and we are sorted!!! If we buy this kit in one go we will be set up for our upcoming schedule of Forest Schools in Aberdeen. I have one before summer and Simon has one the week after...that leaves two more for me in regen areas....they will keep until after summer...hussah!!!
Childrens university coming up as well....just remembered...in Tillydrone...get it up ye Seaton!!! John Muir Award coming up with the Criminal Justice System..parp..oh...and homework for Forest Leader certificate.

I have given up on the landlady acting in a responsible manner....the door is here apparently...the joiner needs to be scheduled....no sign of double glazing but the insulation is in the loft....that has taken since October 2007!!!!...as far as I am concerned it is negligent...but..if I want a reference for the next place i will just stay quiet and leave at the end of the tenancy. Whn I leave...at the end of the 12 months or after another 6 months depends on what happens with the job and funding.
The abridged version of that is that I will have a better idea by April. However..there are other things going on that may come up...I would prefer to keep this mix of a job going.....rather than veering off into a specific area...but...I cannae be doing with moving again.
The car went for a burton last week....had to put it on my credit card....had to decide which repairs were necessary...brakes!!!!...and which were not...gaskets and exhaust......time to get rid as quickly as possible. 2 mortgages coming up to end of fixed period...time to change...and raise some cash....March is for that so..thinking of current mortgage situation in UK...bit worried but sure it will be ok. Get rid of old car...raise cash...get new old car....retain some cash for properties...but main priority is to get rid of this car before it totally breaks!!!!!
