Gonna keep this short....ime under pressure and not too chatty about it.
Edinburgh is definitely gonna take all my money from the sale of Perth..yes..I know I wld have no chance of doing the required work if I hadn't sold Perth..I am now getting hit for council tax as well (3 months)..it looks like I may have to pay for the roof repairs first and then claim back from the insurance policy..I am still going to have to cover another month's mortgage...good grief!!!
I am hoping the deposit to be returned (£500.00) and then sell the car (I am going to clean the inside this afternoon!)...possibly £800.00..then maybe things will be ok..but I think I will be going into overdraft again and then be chasing my tail to pay up!!!!
Poo.
However, I am looking forward to moving into the lodgings...woohoo!!

Super Chilled
Well,
I have had the 1st proper break since I came here and I feel pretty relaxed..although today I am going to use BT contact numbers to swap over my broadband to the house in town..I find that, sometimes, the Indian people on the other end...as this is where the all centres are..can sometimes not pick up on what you are saying...hey ho...has to be done.
The work on Edinburgh flat seems to complicate itself all the time...a leak in the roof means the original work scheduled has to wait until reparatory work is complete.....although the letting agent seems happy to wait to schedule 2 tradesmen until after the roofer goes in...it is me that has had to e mail and gee them up..and ask the relevant questions.
So, moving back into town means I will get my deposit back...save money every month...and sell the car as well...one valuation for the car came in at £1,500.00...I laughed at that!!!..the other came in at £850.00..now, that is more like it!!!..but it looks like I will need any spare cash until it is sorted out.
What a lovely day today..gonna move some more stuff up town...not having to do it in a oner is a major bonus..landlady there is chilled out about it..landlady here is away until start of October and I said I would be happy to wait until then..do the check out with her and then have the cheque sent to me. I can still stay in the flat but I probably won't..no extra time travelling..saving money on fuel...all for the good...but it does mean the pressure is off to clean the flat for the check out..I can take my time..it is all good.
Chatted to an ex last night...on msn..she is with another fella and seems to be happy...that familiar pang came round but then I remembered the problems she has..the fact I don't have the energy to go to all these places she says she has been going...it was never going to work so...I can rationalise it..still a git when she is talking about it though...hey ho. I think I will see what happens when I move into town...time will tell.
Tara for now

In the words of Victor Meldrew
I don't believe it!!!!
Tickets booked for Edinburgh to check work done in the flat...making it all squared away..e mail today says the tiler was stripping away the cork board (I know, bad enough) and found the plaster had been soaking up a leak (never said whether it was slow or not, I assume so) so...need to get a roofer in and then a plaster before the tiler can get on with his job and his job is holding up the plumber rehousing the shower BEFORE he can put in a new thingamabob!!!
Luckily, any repairs such as roof and plastering can be reclaimed from the Association...I just sent an e mail asking if I owed any money..crafty...as, if I do...then I can drop the cheque off and any work to be billed will come in after that!!! All square and ready to cash in..bout time!
Either way, this will all take time and I will be losing rental income..luckily I am moving into town and will be saving money AND receive my deposit back..so..should be OK.
The guy looking after this whole thing is off to Spain and won't be back until next Tuesday...great timing!!
Sometimes..I cannae believe it!!!

12 Day Stretch Is Over
Made it. After 12 days non stop covering sessions with clients from the psychiatric unit in Aberdeen to picking (straining!!!) up timber for a community project's seats to the Horticultural Show (i am still having visions of washed onions) to the radio to the John Muir Award with the Criminal Justice System to a Parliamentary Reception to report writing for funding...no wonder I am tired!!!
What a crazy 12 days indeed....BUT....I managed to get the report out the way...and I have booked a day for printing Forest School essays so I can send them away..and I have no more Saturday/Sunday events either!!!...AND..I have booked some days off as well..hussah!!!
I still have a lot of annual leave to take as well by the end of December..kaching!!!
So, stayed up late last night and got up late today..then up to Bervie...back here and fell asleep...lazy blighter..but hey...I am glad to be chilling.
So, was invited to the Parliamentary reception to celebrate the WIAT project for all of Scotland...a very proud moment..went down to Edinburgh (2 hours with my boss on a train....nice!!...not) to the Parliament...all very nice...into the Garden Lobby where there was pics and vids showing up on the wall....will upload later....then we saw a small pack being given out...I had been involved in correcting Mr W's input for the "postcards" but didn't realise what they were going to look like..it was them!!!!...and there was our postcard...Kincorth LNR and the Spiders Web of Doom!!....yay...then we looked at the video screens...showing all the WIAT projects in Scotland...was moving around the map all the time...then ours came up!!!!! What a feeling to see my project coming up on the screen at the Scottish Parliament....woohoo!!!...got a few pics taken in front of the screen much to the amusement of the scallywags from Castleview School...I cannae blame them to be honest....I had my shirt and tie on as well which was a culture shock.
After the last Community Woodlands Association where Aberdeen didn't even show on any discussions or maps, to see it there on the screen and postcards in front of everyone....as a result of everyone's support and help, NOT just my efforts....was a great achievement for me...I felt really good...made the last few days of work a doddle!!
Going on the train for such a cheap price gave me a good idea...rather than driving down to Edinburgh to check the refurbishment of the flat...why don't I get the train??...hussah!!!...so ive booked my ticket..after a long time on the bloomin website..what chore...all I wanted was the cheapest ticket!!!..anyway..booked for next Thursday..so, if everything is ok and I agree to pay the dosh...I can forget about the Edinburgh flat for a good while and look forward to the increased rental income. Now, what can come next?...who can tell...but hopefully not for a long time!!!
And now I can look forward to moving from here to Aberdeen..checked with the lady and she is still up for the challenge..which is a relief..all I have to do is take on the telephone bill so I can then transfer the broadband..put together a lease agreement document and then move all my kit over there. Deposit back and outgoings down by around £400.00 per month means I can then save money for the capital Gains tax bill coming next year and for any other repairs AND for some new clothes!!!! We shall see how it works out but she is very relaxed about things and the house is on a nice part of Northfield..it also means the stress and pressure of driving to and from Aberdeen will be gone as well...all good news!!!
I know I say this all the time but I hope to be able to try and have a work life balance at last!!
after that, the only issue remaining is funding..keep you posted.
