Well,
It's been a while and the show rolls in is usual fashion.
After hearing nothing from the Mortgage provider I chased my IFA..he then called them and got work it has gone through and paperwork will be issued after the renewal date in May..no questions and no hassle...nice. After a full month on the market and an e mail conveying my dismay...word gets back to me that a fella from the local college would like to lease the property for 12 months....hussah!!...sorted....my tenant in Perth has signed and returned his documentation which means he legally has to move out by the end of May...more than that...he has indicated he would like to move out sooner...he will still be liable for the rent but I will take on the Council Tax and leccy...a cost I am prepared to pay as this means the flat can be viewed without referring to him and kept in a good state inbetween...it may even be that I don't need to go to Perth as it could all be a done deal before I can get there...sorted. So...we shall see hat price is obtained but nee to bear in mind I have a car to buy and an overdraft...very small amount really...to pay off and some money required as a buffer for the remaining 3...oh...and an insurance policy due in June as well...which will probably be around £600.00..we shall see...but it is certainly a change for the better from the previous entries when everything was a bit unsure and potentially disastrous.
Work is moving on as usual...hitting all the marks and taking thing forward. The Community Service Order team are doing a great job...I had them at the Cove primary school to cut back a hedge which was blocking the security camera...my Lord!!!....they ripped into it and did the whole edge...along with Chris who worked away on his todd and did a proper amount of work...whilst I dodged in and out of the school to meet and greet the teachers and see where we could do some mutual work...so...more classes lined up i the garden...tomorrow sees my boss interviewed by Radio Scotland for funding for the project...if we are successful there is every chance I am going to end up on the TV....oh dear!!!!..that would be a shock but...then again...extremely good news for the school as there is a possibility the garden will be taken away from the.m...this will force the hand of the Council...so..it's all good.
I have the Middlefield Breakfast Club tomorrow..a meeting after with the Vicar, the gardener and the project leader....this will be interesting..then SHMU with the "Friends of Doonies" Trustee...lets give Doonies the support they need..keep it open!!!!...also my ex wanted to meet me at SHMU for a cuppa...so i said why don't you come on the show and talk about the drumming at Tilly Project..so she is...yay!!!....then onto Hazelhead to meet the Grounds manager, as I am looking to cut back (with volunteers) some trees in an arboretum, with a view to open up the path for my NHS Health Walk packs...hussah!!!..then to Mastrick to see if Dod survived last week at the John Muir Club...then to Lochinch to check e mails and then home cos I will be knackered!!!!...another day of chaos for me...but it's what it is about...it is great.
Tilly Lads club still want me to help with their garden so I need to get my art head on and draw it for them...meeting a volunteer on the day to take the work forward....should be good.
Just sprayed (with Rob) the Youth Achievement Award garden so we wait for 2 weeks and then come in with a volunteer team and clear it away. So...a number of wildlife gardens on the go...for someone with no real wildlife garden experience....it's a leasning curve.
As for my love life..well..there have been the usual crisis points but things have come to a head i a positive way...so we shall see what happens.
The double glazing is in and looking good...the door is still to come as my landlady ordered the wrong type...not in keeping with the rest of the houses...but it is nice and warm and I love it...makes it worth the money...do I still want to risk it for the winter?...we shall see. Gourdon really does show its beauty in the sun...pity there is not more of it!!!! The May weekend brings with it a festival in the farm between Gourdon and Bervie...I think it is going to be drunken chaos with folks drinking before they go to it and when they come back...having consumed an exorbitant amount while they were there!!!..this is where the quines meet the loons and love blooms....aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww.
Anyhoo...later.

Assembly!!
Now...I have done many things most folk wouldn't..in terms of public speaking and educational stuff...I've been a tree..a butterfly..Ive talked in front of so many people I can't remember their faces and I have my radio show...shmu.org.uk...around with a ranger...since you ask...BUT...today I had an assembly in front of the whole school!!!!!!
Walked into the assembly hall and the whole school turned around to see the new face...my goodness...what a heart skipper!!! I did it though and so the show goes on. Development of an overgrown wildlife garden...litter pick tomorrow with 2 groups of kids across all ages...it isn't the litter pick that's important..we are reconnecting the kids with the space with a view to outdoor education..should be good...AND..it may be the project that goes on the BBC's "Breathing spaces" programme...for which I have to sit an interview...I might be on the telly!!! Parpmungous!!
So, last Wednesday..I got up at 5.30 am to drive to Middlefield breakfast Club for 7.30 am...worked on their wildlife garden..in the snow..great pics of the kids with their tongues out to catch the snow...then onto SHMU at 10.30 am where kids from Northfield Academy came on the show...a cracker of a show as well....then..editing and back to HQ for lunch (10 mins) and e mails...then off to Masrick at 2.30 for the Mastrick Eco Group and John Muir Award...1st session with this group and they were mad but full of enthusiasm..parents were sceptical but seemed enthusiastic after they got the drift of what we are going to be doing..then..as I was about to leave at 4.30 pm..collared by someone from Busy Bees...2 year old group..for some work in a few weeks...then collared by the community worker who talked for 50 mins non stop...but gave some good information on the area..I had met her before at a WIAT convention......did not get away until 6 pm....after I nabbed some luvly fish cakes...back at the hoose by 7 pm..a long day..starting and finishing with wildlife gardens..working with a lot of groups all over the city..exactly what it's all about.
So many other projects on the go that are great but it would be boring!!!
Still waiting for my papers on the change in mortgage for Dudley Avenue...tenant in Kings Court has signed and returned his Notice To Quit..which is a relief..and perhaps not a bad thing for the delay in putting on the market...my selling agent is off on holiday..as the news is so bleak about property it might not sell for so much although i doubt it..just panicking... saw a story on BBC news about UK prices falling..then straight onto Scotland Today which said Scottish prices have actually gone up!!!...who to believe...me..as always...and keep the heid and keep on going. So..we wait.....
Personal life..let's not go there!!...let's just say we have reached the 2 month limit and it's all gone Pete Tong...hey ho...we shall see.
I got my windows replaced last week and finished this weekend...I think they put the new ones in and realised the surrounds were rotted...perhaps why so much wind was flowing through into the flat..and the door is still to come as the one the landlady chose is not in keeping with the building...according to her husband...who I agree with.
So..it's all good.

What a weekend
Right,
On Friday..drove to Carnie Woods with Ruth and recce'd the site...then back to the office...50 miles...then down to Perth to see the missus....then down to Edinburgh to see the IFA...phew...remortgaged the Edinburgh property..a higher premium but manageable if I sell Perth property.....and a very good investment to boot..was still touch and go when we were processing the paperwork...went through ok...nice one.
So...a choice...over to dads or back up to Aberdeen?...back up to Aberdeen in a oner..phew...means I could study all day Sunday..which I needed. Got back...met the joiners as they were putting the double glazing at last..they worked on Friday in the snow and Saturday and Sunday..and are coming back next weekend as well. Straight to the pub...forgot the National was on but hadn't put a punt on a nag!!
Up early on Sunday and to the office...e mails for a short while then a full 4 hour stretch doing Forest School work....lots of loose paperwork that needed to be pulled together and annotated into a report format....time consuming but beneficial..a big step towards completion.
And now back to work!!!
